Chafing Wars – Bandelettes From Mish Online

HTML email (kfmyblog.blogspot.com)

I talk about it every year, but it’s a problem that for some never goes away â€" chafing.
It happens to legs of all sizes, and it can ruin a summer’s day quicker than an empty bottle of Pimms. The dreaded ‘chub rub’ does not discriminate, and women (and men) everywhere clamour for cures and remedies to stop the uncomfortable friction fall out.
One solution that I have been trying recently comes in the form of the rather beautiful Bandelettes, available from Mish Online. The bandelettes are essentially the tops of stockings â€" silicone inner and pretty outer bar a plainer pair which could also appeal to men as they are plain and slightly less conspicuous. They come in white, black, beige and chocolate in the lacy styles which is awesome, as so many products do not cater to darker skinned wearers. I must admit that I had been curious about them for years, and so when Mish Online offered me the chance to try them I eagerly complied.

I messed up a little with the thigh measuring as I thought I would wear the Bandelettes a lot lower than I actually ended up doing â€" so DO measure the fullest part of your thighs to determine your size. For me, sizes C&D worked the best, B felt like I might amputate myself!
Initially I found that one thigh would stay up and the other just refused and would roll down all the time. I had to make sure I pulled them high enough and didn’t allow them to cut into my very fleshy inner thighs, and the softness of them caused them to cave in on themselves and roll down straight away. However, once they were in position I found that they stayed up very well. There were slight points where they did roll down a little bit and I think that wearing them for hours and hours of walking where I wouldn’t be able to adjust every so often would result in them rolling down, but wearing them out and about for shorter time frames has been totally fine.

I do find that the lace ones stay up far better than the plain ones and I definitely preferred them as they are just so pretty. They made a gentle noise as they rubbed together when I walked, but it wasn’t noticeable to anyone else. They weren’t visible through more fitted items, although I think that the gentle rolling down would be if I wore something super fitted.

And how were they at stopping chafing? Well I can confirm that I had zero chafing after every wear. I did adjust them slightly during toilet trips but that wasn’t really a bother or inconvenience.
Due to the silicone you do get slightly sweaty under them, and you will find that your legs are maybe a little damp when you remove them, but it didn’t seem to affect the silicone, nor did the gentle wipe I gave them with baby wipes just to keep them fresh.

All in all I am super pleased with the Bandelettes, and I will be popping them on over them summer â€" maybe even under my wedding dress! As I said, they possibly wouldn’t stay up during super long treks, but if you want a pretty thigh adorner for a summer party that will stop the dreaded chafing then get ordering. Just make sure you measure the biggest part of your thigh.

Do you own or would you like to own Bandelettes? What do you think of them?

If you do fancy trying a pair out then click here to order them from Mish Online, who also sell lots of lovely D+ lingerie and swimwear. They are very kindly offering FFFB readrs 10% off Bandelettes until May the 31st – use the code ‘FULLER10′ to take advantage of this!
